February is often thought of as the month of love
as partners, parents, siblings and friends celebrate Valentine’s Day by finding various ways to make the people who matter in their lives, feel special.

love has many definitions…
abuse isn’t one of them
But, for men or women in abusive relationships Valentine’s Day can be heart breaking and lonely.  In fact, police and domestic violence experts around the country note that holidays can sometimes bring out the worst in partners and
that violence increases during holiday periods. Valentine's Day is no exception.

WOMAN, Inc believes that everyone deserves to feel safe in their home
Thousands of domestic violence survivors in the
San Francisco Bay area need your support and your voice. 

In order to better aid our community in the fight against domestic violence, we need your help in raising $20,000 by March 16th to support the integration of our new Domestic Violence Information and Referral Center (DVIRC) with our 24/7 crisis hotline.  This much needed program will allow us to more effectively and efficiently help
the growing number of domestic violence survivors
who call on us every day.
