Welcome to our half-marathon group practice run! We’ll lead the group through a leisurely run along the start potion of the actual race course. Running the race course during training is a great way to mentally prepare, and get acquainted with the race conditions!
We’ll start at the race start location, finish with a stretch, and will be available to answer any other questions about the Rock ‘n Roll San Francisco half-marathon and W.O.M.A.N. Inc.!
Meet your practice run leader Alice at the meet up location. We’ll start the run promptly at 11 AM. Note: this will be a point A to point B run, so we strongly suggest taking public transportation since we will not start and end in the same location.

Practice Run 2: Saturday, March 7
Distance: 5 miles
Pace: Begin at 10 min/mile pace, and adjust up or down depending on the collective group speed level
Meet up time: 10:45 AM meet time, 11 AM run start
Meet up location & route: Meet at official race start at Great Highway and Fulton Street. Run first four miles of actual race course, then veer off course through under the Golden Gate bridge and end at Sports Basement parking lot.
Race course miles 1-4 will have uphill/downhill climbs.
Hydrate and avoid eating heavy meals at least two hours before.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothes in layers you can shed as you heat up. Comfortable, adequately supportive shoes are a must.
Bring water and/or sports gels as needed. We will not have water fountains along the route.
