40 Hour Domestic Violence Training Kick Off

Interested in being apart of the movement to end domestic violence? Volunteer with W.O.M.A.N., Inc.! 

Bilingual Spanish Speakers strongly encouraged!

All direct service volunteers are provided with a 40 hour domestic violence training, plus additional program specific training. In the comprehensive training, advocates will be trained to provide crisis intervention, peer counseling, safety planning and support to domestic violence survivors, their friends and family.

Domestic Violence Training Volunteer Application Deadline

Volunteers who wish to work in Survivor Support areas are provided with a 40-hour training on domestic violence and ongoing support and education. We ask all Survivor Support volunteers to commit to at least four hours of service every week for a year. Volunteers are considered for Advanced Survivor Support positions after working for 3 months and demonstrating reliability and a strong understanding of domestic violence, peer counseling skills and our services.
